This is a compilation of work I've made in London over the period 1999 - 2003.
My work has grown out from the grass roots artists-run scene in London of the early 1990's when I helped found the Exploding Cinema Collective (www.explodingcinema.org) I have always screened my work first at our notoriously lively and popular open access underground shows. With this 2nd compilation of work, the forms I use have shifted from
projection/live monologue performances (using a variety of underground film tropes and tricks) to more direct experiments with the act of storytelling within film/TV language. The pieces on this DVD range in form; the almost-conventional, absurdist playet 'Perfect Spot' -the sub children's TV drama/meets Bataille 'Sharony!' (which has provoked censorship)
to the imploding, multiply-subjective address of ' Ways He Tried To Tell You'...a whole host of seriously playful experiments with ideas, narrative structures and quite dark subjects.
