Six on Super 8
A very selective selection (1995-2000)
Why Super 8? Well, a combination of economic pragmatics (with hopefully the love + care lavished therein making them just that little bit pricier), autonomy, and a belief that there's something joyfully evocative that film seems to afford above all other media.
Works on this compilation have screened over three continents, from the Brooklyn Museum of Art to the Exploding Cinema in London, and include a feature film collaboration, a doomed to fail kinetic experiment, and some gleeful explorations of film form.
Titles included: Why the Canary Sings No More, Stay In A Friendly Country, Last Night Meant Nothing, The Empty Film, Human Error in the Mechanical Age, Intro Film a.k.a. The Swinging Twirling Camera Film
